An abuse registry needs to be incorporated into every State due to the advances in ease of interstate transport via internet / social media sales of Mill bred and dog fighting dogs..The nonexistent laws in many states such as Ohio vet out fines as low as $25-none for the torture or killing of animals for Sadistic pleasure or cash.
Animal abuse is out of control! If you are able to abuse an animal-there is no stoping for people-These people have no heart! And just like child abusers register for Megans law animal abusers should too-maybe that would help some how deter the onstart of child abuse.
Our pets are like family, they deserve the same as a child. A warm home, food and instead of clothes exercised. Those wishing to get animals just to abuse or kill is unacceptable, after animals comes people and everyone knows it. With a registry it will be the first “red alert” to a potential psychotic person who will kill a person next.
An animal abuse registry most definitely needs to be created everywhere in the world so these felons can be blocked from ever fostering or adopting another animal. This future network needs to be a priority research tool of potential adopters that make their way to shelters, vet, rescues, and all other organizations that help with the welfare of animals. I believe these deviant people are child abusers in the making or possibly worse serial killers.
It makes me sick to see all the abuse that is suffered by animals and nothing is being done about it. The most these criminals get is a slap on the wrist. I demand more tougher laws for animal abuse and a registry so we know who has committed this crime. These are the type of criminals that go on to harm and/or kill people. We must stop animal abuse NOW!!
An abuser that is afraid they will get caught and then their name will be public knowledge. They know if there is an animal abuser registry, anyone caught and convicted will be watched and monitored by the public all the time.
I agree with several other posters – there needs to be a National Registry – abusers move or cross state lines to find their victims. Much harsher penalties for those who are eventually charged. And again as many have noted, those who abuse animals do also abuse children and spouses.

HORSES SUFFER SOERING HOLVES, STICKS OR HARDEN ROCT SHOVED INTO HOVES SO NTHE PERFORM , CALLED WALKING HORSES, THEY ARE BEATEN NOT TO FLINCH WHEN SHOWING, THIS NEEDS TO STOP. All animals should be treated as people are treated equal .People who abuse animals should be barred from ever owning another
