Support the Pet Safety and Protection Act
Many helpless pets wind up in research facilities where they are used in painful tests and experiments.
Laboratories purchase these pets from Class B dealers: individuals who acquire dogs and cats from “random sources,” such as auctions, flea markets, or “bunchers” — unlicensed individuals who have been documented acquiring pets by theft, misrepresentation (e.g. responding to “free to a good home” ads), and/or other questionable means.
It’s time to put an end to Class B dealers.
Please make a brief, polite phone call to your U.S. Representative and urge co-sponsorship of the Pet Safety and Protection Act, which would make it illegal for Class B dealers of random source dogs and cats to operate.
H.R. 2224, the Pet Safety and Protection Act.

Please support H.R. 2224: Pet Safety and Protection Act,
I strongly support the Pet Safety and Protection Act, championed by Representative Doyle (D-PA). If you have not already done so, could you please become a cosponsor of this important bill.
It’s time to stop funneling pets into experimentation. I hope I can count on your support of this critical legislation for dogs and cats.
